Bylaws

Our bylaws are public regulatory laws which apply within the village limits. A municipal bylaw is no different than any other law of the land, and can be enforced with penalties, challenged in court and must comply with other laws of the land, such as the country’s constitution.  Our Municipal bylaws are enforceable through the public justice system using the Sûreté du Quebec, and offenders can be charged with a criminal offence for breach of a bylaw.

If you require further information or a detailed listing of our bylaws, please contact the Town Hall at 819-647-2979 for further information.

If you believe that it is a criminal offence and are in immediate need of assistance please call 9-1-1 for assistance from the Sûreté du Quebec
