Council Meetings

Regular meeting sessions of the Municipal Council are held every second Tuesday of the month commencing at 7:30 p.m.

These are the following dates for 2011:

January 11 and 25
February 8 and 22
March 8 and 22
April 12 and 26
May 10 and 24
June 14 and 28
July 12
August 9 and 23
September 13 and 27
October 11 and 25
November 8 and 22
December 13 and 19

Should you wish to attend a council meeting please email info@town.shawville.qc.ca or call 819-647-2979 to notify council that you will be attending. All are welcome to attend public meeting sessions.

Winter Parking Bylaws -
MUNICIPALITY OF SHAWVILLE
NOTICE PARKING IN WINTER
According to By-Law S.Q. No. 2011-001, the following
provisions apply to parking during the winter months:
Parking or stopping a vehicle a vehicle on a public road between
midnight and 6:00 a.m. from November 15th to April 15th is
prohibited on the whole territory of the municipality.
During or after a snowstorm, no vehicle shall be parked on any
street in a manner such as to hinder the plowing and removal of
snow.
The owner of any vehicle contravening the provisions of these By-
Laws shall be liable to a minimum fine of $30.00 and in addition
to having the vehicle towed away at the owner's expense.
