Shawville offers many differnt recreational facilites, clubs and organizations.  This includes fitness facilities, soccer fields, ball diamonds, arena, and community buildings.  The Town of Shawville maintains the library, archives, arena, Mill Dam Park, and Veterans Park.

Winter Parking Bylaws -
MUNICIPALITY OF SHAWVILLE
NOTICE PARKING IN WINTER
According to By-Law S.Q. No. 2011-001, the following
provisions apply to parking during the winter months:
Parking or stopping a vehicle a vehicle on a public road between
midnight and 6:00 a.m. from November 15th to April 15th is
prohibited on the whole territory of the municipality.
During or after a snowstorm, no vehicle shall be parked on any
street in a manner such as to hinder the plowing and removal of
snow.
The owner of any vehicle contravening the provisions of these By-
Laws shall be liable to a minimum fine of $30.00 and in addition
to having the vehicle towed away at the owner's expense.
