Public Skating at the arena

The Arena and Community centre is is located at 215 Lang St., It is the hub of the community for local sports and recreation. It contains 4 dressing rooms, and one ice surface. Many take advantage of the arena for organized sports, such as hockey, figure skating, public skating and many other events. 

 

 

Located in Main lobby is Lou’s Canteen that provides fresh hot food, cold drinks and plenty of treats for everyone.

The Pontiac Juniors of the local Eastern Ontario Junior B team competes in their season action most Friday and Sunday evenings, check out their schedule online www.pontiacjrhockey.com .

Minor Hockey Action

 

Minor Hockey is organized and operated by the Shawvill and District Minor Hockey Association, for children ages 4 and up. Find them online at www.sdmha.ca

Figure skating is offered by the Shawville Figure Skating Club for ages 3-16 Contact Christina Cartman at  819-647-2149 for more information.

The Pontiac National Midget Tournament is February 3 to 6, 2011 this marks the 36th anniversary of the Pontiac National Midget Hockey Tournament and is host to over 18 teams from across Quebec and Ontario, www.shawvillepontiacs.ca
